The Big Chill Bristol – Opens Tonight!

The Big Chill Bristol opens today, bringing the magic of the festival to one of the UK’s cultural hotspots all year round. Spearheaded by local promoters Dave Smeaton and James Savage, who have been running sterling bars in the area for 20 years, The Big Chill Bristol will be a social hub offering the best in food, drink and music, with free entry all the time – even on New Year’s Eve.

Acclaimed DJs from the festival and burgeoning Bristol scene will provide the soundtrack in this bar designed with The Big Chill vibe in mind – a friendly space, with eye-catching artwork, original décor and an attention to comfort.

The bar will be open day and night, offering easy to share tapas dishes and guest menus from the festival’s reputed food stalls, alongside classic cocktails, beers, local ciders and a keenly researched wine list.

Katrina Larkin, co-founder of the Big Chill said: “It’s not a new home for Big Chill really, it’s more providing a roof for the many Big Chill artists and chillers from Bristol all year round. Plus it’s a lot closer for us than the London bars after a hard day in our festival fields”.

Last night, Craig Charles did the honours of playing for the a smaller opening party, also featuring Western Soul, Futureboogie and Bedmo Disco amongst others.

Look out for forthcoming nights – Tru Thoughts on 23rd October, and Aldo Vanucci on Thursday 29th October!
