August Bank Holiday Weekend Event Picks

The big bank holiday weekend is fast approaching, so where are you spending it?  Obviously the free choice for most is the Notting Hill Carnival down in London (for breakssy stuff head to corner of Ledbury & Lonsdale), or the paid-for version in the shape of Get Loaded in the Park at Clapham Common. If your not doing them or want a decent afterparty, check out some of the below :

Friday 28th August


The globe-trotting and non-stop promoting Utah Saints bring a Fingerlickin vibe to Edinburgh on the Friday, as they take over regular haunt Cabaret Voltaire with a visit from Krafty Kuts and A-Skillz. Not sure if its there full on b2b set (as road tested at Big Chill last week) but these guys rock the party whatever so you’re in for a treat.

Saturday 29th August


The Jalapeno guys grace the decks at the Big Chill House in Kings Cross on the Saturday with Skeewiff as guest DJ.  Always a good party down at the Big Chill, and get down their early as its free entry before 10pm.

Sunday 30th August


We’re sticking in the Kings Cross area for the recommended Sunday party, as we head up the hill in to Angel upon the infamous Chapel Market in to the comfy confines of Anam Bar for a shindig thrown by our good friends at
